The Right Story is a personalized reading program operated by CulturaCanvas Studios, a sole proprietorship registered in Ontario, Canada. You can reach us at donald@therightstoryprogram.com.
We collect two kinds of information.
We use this information for one purpose: to design and write a personalized book series for the student named in the form.
We also use your contact details to reach you at three moments only:
We do not send marketing emails, and we do not contact you on any schedule you did not agree to.
Student profiles and the documents we build are stored in Google Drive (Google LLC), accessible only to CulturaCanvas Studios. Files are protected by Google's security infrastructure.
Three other services handle your information in limited ways as part of how the program operates:
When you submit the intake form, your responses pass through Formspree's servers before being received by us. Formspree acts as a delivery channel only. We do not store data there beyond what Formspree temporarily retains as part of its service.
When you request Book 2 or Book 3, payment is processed through Stripe (Stripe, Inc.). Your payment card details are entered directly into Stripe's secure environment and are never seen or stored by us.
We use professional AI writing software to help produce each student's personalized book. Student information used in this process is handled solely for the purpose of writing the book and is not used for any other purpose by the software provider.
None of these services receive your information for their own purposes. They process it only as needed for the program to function.
We keep a student's information for as long as we are actively building or supporting their series, and for up to two years after the series is complete. After that, records are securely deleted.
You can ask us to delete a student's information at any time before that, and we will do so unless we are required to keep it by law.
We may describe the books we build in an anonymous way — with no name and no identifying detail — in two contexts:
We will never identify a student in any public or external material without your separate written permission.
This program is about children, and most of the information we collect is provided by an adult on a child's behalf. We treat this information with extra care. We only accept it from a parent, guardian, or educator who has the authority to share it.
You can, at any time:
To make any of these requests, email us at donald@therightstoryprogram.com. We aim to respond within a few business days.
If you feel your privacy rights have not been respected, you have the right to contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada at priv.gc.ca. This program is governed by the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA).
If we ever become aware of a security breach that puts your information at risk of significant harm, we will notify you as soon as we reasonably can, and we will report it to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada as required by law.
We take this seriously. If you believe your information has been compromised, contact us immediately at donald@therightstoryprogram.com.
If we change this policy, we will update the effective date at the top. If a change is significant, we will make a reasonable effort to tell families who are active in the program.
We are happy to answer any question about how we handle your information.
